Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

Your 6-day Kenya Budget safari starts with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or the airport. You will travel in a shared 4×4 jeep to Amboseli National Park, a 3 hours journey to the South of Nairobi.

Amboseli is well known for its large elephant herds and beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro . You arrive just before lunch. After lunch, take a well-deserved rest before heading out for your first afternoon game drive.

As you explore the park, you will spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, lions and different types of birds. On a clear day, you will have a clear view of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro.

After the game drive, return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-Day Amboseli National Park Safari

After breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park. Take your time exploring the park and enjoying the wildlife and scenery.

Besides the ubiquitous herds of elephants and zebras, your guide will be at hand to track the rarer sight of Leopards and Lions.

Return to your accommodation for early sundowners followed by dinner. Relax around a campfire before retiring for the night.

Day 3: Amboseli – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, we depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, a beautiful wildlife haven on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arriving in time for lunch, we start the game drive at 4pm. The lake is home to thousands upon thousands of flamingoes due to abundance of algae in the lake. Other wild animals such as the endangered Rothschild Giraffes and Rhinos, Lions, Buffalos and Leopards are to be spotted in this park. Overnight at the safari lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, set off for Masai Mara by road. We depart at 7:00 am for Masai Mara, the world-renowned game reserve. It lies about 210 km South West of Kenya and borders Tanzania. We arrive in time for lunch. After some well-deserved rest, we embark on the evening game drive until sunset. We return to the lodge for early drinks, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Full-Day Maasai Mara Safari

Masai Mara has earned its place as one of the natural wonders of the world due to its rich wildlife conservation and wilderness. That is why a full day dedicated to this National Reserve is highly recommended:

Full Day: Take a premium picnic basket prepared for you and spend the day exploring deep into the main Masai Mara National Reserve. Trace the winding Mara river to witness massive pods of Hippos and Crocodiles. Masai Mara is the home of the Big Five (Leopards, Rhinos, Lions, Buffaloes and Elephants). You will have no difficulty spotting most of these in their natural habitat. The more elusive Leopard is easier to spot at dawn or after dusk. But no worry; your experienced tour guide has real time knowledge of where they could be resting after a night of hunting.
